Reasons for Joy

Grace and Mercy

I would be the first to tell you that I don't understand God's grace and mercy. I don't understand how or why he continues to love, he continues to want relationships with people who continually do things that hurt him. My brain for some reason cannot wrap itself around this concept. If I were God, the creator of the universe,
and someone had already had about 10 chances to turn things around or change things then after about the 11th or 12th time I would be like "enough is enough." In my pea-sized brain my concept of grace and mercy would be that I gave someone like 10 chances instead of zapping them the first time they did something wrong. Like I said I don't understand this concept from my human perspective but I'm extremely thankful for it. I need God's love, grace and mercy because without these things I am completely lost. The fact that God continues to show me grace and mercy (that I really, really don't deserve) proves how much he loves me. I wish everyone could understand how much God loves them and wants a relationship with them.
